Is your practice trying to improve patient access?

Improving patient access to care is a primary tenant of practice transformation – yet can be difficult to attain in busy primary care practices. This module describes successful primary care advanced access models; methods for determining patient panel size, and includes the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine’s e-visit curriculum.

  • Demonstrate an ability to facilitate continuity of care to meet patients’ needs in a timely and agreeable manner.
  • Discuss empanelment methods that can enhance patient’s access to care.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with patients both during and between office visits, including the ability to participate in e-visits.
