This module describes the key behavioral health provider competencies and how these enhance integration by clarifying the scope and form; and the practice application for each.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize the eight core competencies for behavioral health professionals (BHP) working within a primary care practice.
- Identify at least two team-based and integrated care workflow strategies that align with the core competencies.
- Demonstrate an understanding of team roles within competencies #1 and #4.

The information in this module is valuable for all primary care team members, including clinical (clinicians and staff), operational (front and back office), and administrators (leadership and management).
