UAU Referral to Treatment and Medication-Assisted Treatment

In Session 4, your practice will look specifically at your data and procedures related to referral to treatment and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients identified with unhealthy alcohol use (UAU).

Objectives

• Identify the number of patients 18 years of age and older who test positive for UAU and receive referral to treatment and/or MAT.
• Determine your practice’s current workflow and procedures for offering referral to treatment and/or MAT to patients who test positive for UAU.
• Develop a PDSA cycle plan to improve your practice’s workflow and procedures for offering referral to treatment and/or MAT to patients who test positive for UAU.
