Tobacco cessation counseling is important to clinicians and patients and is mandated by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of lung cancer screening. This module will discuss the 5As of tobacco cessation – with an emphasis on assist and arrange – and how to utilize your care team for patient tobacco cessation counseling and referral.

  • Discuss specific methods for assisting and arranging tobacco cessation with your patients who use tobacco.
