Welcome to the Clinician Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Alcohol Use Disorder Module.

This module will take an in-depth look into the FDA-approved medications to treat alcohol use disorders (AUD), how to prescribe these medications, potential side-effects, monitoring, treatment goals, and how to discuss MAT with your patients.

Objectives:

  • Describe the FDA-approved medications to treat alcohol use disorder.
  • Discuss medication specific information, monitoring and follow-up, and treatment goals for MAT.
  • Discuss methods for addressing MAT with patients with alcohol use disorder.
