Putting It Into Practice
As a practice facilitator, are you looking for ways to practice your quality improvement skills?
This module provides practice facilitators an opportunity to sharpen the quality improvement skills acquired through practice facilitation modules developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). As you work through the module, you will complete three quality improvement activities and then compare your work for each to that of another practice facilitator’s effort.
After completing this module, the learner should be able to:
- Create a swimlane process map for a process of concern to a practice.
- Complete a sample Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycle plan.
- Assess progress from a sample practice on their PDSA and determine next steps.
- Determine methods for addressing challenging scenarios Practice Facilitators may encounter when working with practices on quality improvement.
Who Should Complete this Module?
This modules is helpful to practice facilitators who want to enhance their facilitation skills and to primary care practice members who participate in quality improvement decisions.
