What is the HOPE project and why is weight management important for primary care clinics?

On any given day, over 70% of patients who present to a primary care clinic have obesity or are overweight. The Helping Our Patients Engage in Weight Management (HOPE) project’s goal is to assist primary care practices with tools and resources to help their patients lose weight, maintain weight loss, and establish healthy lifestyles. This module will describe the HOPE project and the evidence-based guidelines for obesity treatment.
