This module describes the key behavioral health provider competencies and how these enhance integration by clarifying the scope and form; and the practice application for each.

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize the eight core competencies for behavioral health professionals (BHP) working within a primary care practice.
  • Identify at least two team-based and integrated care workflow strategies that align with the core competencies.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of team roles within competencies #1 and #4.
