Having difficulty talking to a farmer about health concerns? 

You are not alone. This module discusses the ‘agrarian imperative’ (the notion of protecting the land at all costs) as a common motivator driving the risk-taking behaviors among our farmers. Two brief nonpharmacological interventions are introduced as part of The LandLogic Model^SM to promote patient engagement when discussing physical and behavioral health topics with farmers.

• Build trust when engaging farming patients.
• Apply the use of two brief non-pharmacological interventions to promote dialogue between physician and farmer.
